Social Issue

In 1978 the Vicente Ferrer Foundation started its educational programme to raise awareness among the population of India about the importance of schooling. The biggest problem the Foundation encountered was the difficulty of children from the poorest communities to adapt to the school system. Furthermore, youth and infants from the lowest castes lack the resources to be able to learn in suitable conditions. Lack of books, places to study, or money for college tuition are just some of the many obstacles they run into.

Our Response

With the donation of bicycles to 319 secondary school students, it is sought that, once the primary school is finished, these youths can continue their studies. This way, the problem of displacement is solved, one of the difficulties that often makes young people in poorer communities drop school.

Expected Social Impact

It is expected to benefit 319 students between 12 and 16 years old and, indirectly, their families by promoting social advancement through education.
