Social Issue
Although Azerbaijan is a fairly developed country, the poverty rate remains high, particularly among the rural population: Farmers, livestock owners, and internal migrants who are the target audience for Azercredit’s activities.
Our Response
Azercredit was established in 1995 although it started offering microfinance services back in 2007. Its social mission is to provide loans that help make a positive impact on the lives of the poorest people.
Expected Social Impact
With this investment of the Netri Foundation,, it is expected that Azercredit will be able to provide 1,000 microcredits at the end of the first year, and around 3,000 at the end of the loan period.
