Social Issue

In September 2017 a 7.1-magnitude earthquake hit the center of Mexico, leaving a total of 307 dead and innumerable material damage. In the Mexican state of Morelos is the Casa Hogar Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos – NPH (Home of Our Little Brothers); founded in 1954, it is home to 500 orphans and abandoned children. NPH’s facilities have been damaged by the earthquake, but their school had already been in a state of disrepair prior to the quake and had become unusable as a result.

Our Response

The emergency situation has made NPH ask for help to be able to rebuild the buildings damaged by the earthquake so they can guarantee the safety of more than 500 children and young people who go to the NPH school in Miacatlán. The donation from the Netri Foundation will make it possible for them to reconstruct the school.

The following are the main objectives of the project:

  • Guarantee the safety of more than 500 children and young people at the NPH school
  • Renovate and rebuild the NPH school

Expected Social Impact

It is expected to be able to help more than 500 orphaned or abandoned children and youth. Indirectly, it benefits around 2,000 people who attend the NPH clinic and school.
