Social Issue

Bolivian population is made up of 62% of indigenous communities, which represents around 7 million people. Of these, a part lives in rural areas poorly communicated with the rest of the country. There is still a social conflict that excludes them from the current system, which includes the lack of adequate means of transport, very limited access to healthcare, and the lack of regular income.

Our Response

FUNBODEM is a microfinance company that was founded as an NGO in 1987 by a group of women in Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Currently, it has 4 branches that offer their services in the most impoverished areas, both rural and urban, in the area around Santa Cruz.

Expected Social Impact

With this investment of the Netri Foundation, it is expected that the microfinance company will provide 500 microcredits per year, 1,500 at the end of the 3 years of the loan.
