I came to Mumbai from Guwahati, Assam after the birth of my daughter Kanishka in 2015. I was anxious about my second pregnancy because I did not have the support of my family and relatives. My husband, Amit, is a taxi driver who is barely at home as he has to work the entire day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My fears were assuaged when I started listening to mMitra calls in the fourth month of her pregnancy. I heard the calls everyday, and somehow I didn\u2019t feel alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My son Ayush was born via a normal delivery, just like my daughter Kanishka. I follow all the advice I hear on the calls, even though some of it may go against traditional beliefs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I had given Kanishka sugar and water when she was a newborn, because I did not know that she only needed breast milk for the first 6 months.
