SPBD, like many other women members of this microfinance institution, has given me financial freedom. Before I had to wait for my husband to get paid so I could have some money but now I earn it by myself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I harvest pumpkins, which take a couple of weeks to grow, and sell them. With the first loan of $200, I purchased seeds and equipment for the plantation. I do not know how much I earn, I have not calculated it, but surely it is more than $45 that my husband earns. Now I can buy more meat for dinner and my children go to a better school, and even my husband asks me for advice when it comes to spending money. Many women like me are more confident after participating in this microcredit program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks to the program I even know my neighbors better. We talk about our micro-businesses all the time and we advise those who are in difficulties.
